It's a good idea to dress in professional attire, because first impressions are very important! Do you have your resume and references ready? Stop by the SSS office and we can help you with that!

I wasn't aware of this event. It is very helpful to me because I'm looking for a job so i can work during the school year. This blog is a creative way to keep students of Lamar informed about current and upcoming events.

I'm a bit confused. The Lamar activities calendar says it's a "Career Fair" with special gpa requirements, and on the same day it has a different entry that says "Job Fair" with no special requirements. Is it just going to be employers for a "job" and not necessarily a career? Or both? If it's just a job fair, I'm not really interested in it, but if it's going to have more to do with the career aspect I'd be interested. Oh.. and that reminds me, that my resume is way outdated. I have almost no activities to list now, I need to start being more involved.. :/ Just a reminder to myself. :)

Sarah, to answer your question about the Job / Career fair on Sept. 10th in the Setzer Center .... I believe both are actually referring to the same event. There is a 2.0 GPA requirement, but it is actually intended to be a job fair for on-campus positions to allow students to network with the various departments. I don't think it was intended to be a Career Fair.
